      Dear Parishioners,

       
      Welcome to St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish; we are very blessed to have an active and growing community that has many ministries serving the people of Morgan Hill.

       
      This website will show you the variety of ministries at St. Catherine and the varied ways to serve God within the Church.  As part of our Catholic understanding of stewardship we are called by Jesus Christ to share in the work of the Kingdom.  In sharing  our time, talent and treasure we strengthen our own faith and invite others into a closer relationship with our God.
       
      Whether we can give one hour or many hours in ministry, whether we see our gifts as large or small, we are invited by our Lord to enter into service within the divine blessing of the Trinity.
      St. Paul writes, “There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit;
      there are different forms of service but the same Lord; there are different workings but the same God who produces all of them in everyone.” (1Cor 12:4-6)
       
      We hope through prayer and discernment you discover your gifts and join with your fellow parishioners at St. Catherine in building the Kingdom of God.

      Este pagina de web le mostrar la variedad de ministerios en Santa Catalina y los muchos modos que usted puede servirle a Dios dentro de su Iglesia.  Como parte de nuestro conocimiento Católico de Corresponsabilidad, somos llamados por Jesús Cristo a compartir el trabajo del Reino.  En compartir nuestro tiempo, talento y tesoro, fortalecemos nuestra propia fe y invitamos a otros a tener una relación mas cercana con Dios.
       
      Ya sea que podamos dar una hora o muchas horas en ministerio, o ya sea que podamos ver nuestros regalos grandes o pequeños, somos invitados por nuestro Señor a entrar al servicio dentro de la bendición divina de la Trinidad.
       
      San Pablo escribo, “Hay diversidad de carismas, pero el Espíritu es el mismo.  Hay diversidad de servicios, pero el Señor es el mismo.  Hay diversidad de actividades, pero uno mismo es el Dios que activa todas las cosas en todos.”(1Cor 12:4-6)

      Director of Catechetical Ministry
      St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish, located in Morgan Hill, has an opening beginning July 1, 2012 for a full time Director of Catechetical Ministry.  The Director will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all catechetical components of the junior high, elementary and early childhood programs in both English and Spanish. The Director will be required to develop and evaluate curriculum, coordinate sacramental preparation, including parent and family faith formation, select materials, prepare and monitor a budget, supervise the maintenance of records, recruit, and train volunteer catechists, and perform other related administrative tasks.
       
      The Director must have the ability to work collaboratively with the Pastor, parish staff, and volunteers as well as parishioners.  The Director and the Youth and Young Adult Minister will collaborate to meet the needs of the Junior High students involved in the catechetical and Edge Programs.  In addition to being active in the life of the Church, the Director should have good organizational, administrative, oral and written communication skills, and a good rapport with children.
       
      Qualifications:
      Bilingual (English and Spanish) required. 
      A Bachelor’s Degree in a course of study related to catechetics, religious education, theology, pastoral ministry or equivalent, current Master Catechist Certification and three to five years experience as a Catechetical Coordinator or a graduate of Institute of Leadership in Ministry (ILM) in the Catechist Track and has three to five years experience in a catechetical leadership position.
