Description of Ministry
The Usher seats people, takes up the collection, directs communion lines, distributes bulletins after Mass, and tidies up the church. The Head Usher must also (1) count the people recording it on the Mass Count sheet and (2) put the money/envelopes into the money bags after communion. Usher service is usually every Sunday, with time off for vacations, etc. Knowledge and skills required: (1) leadership, tact, and cooperative spirit; (2) baptized Catholic.
