Reach Out Food Pantry is an interfaith and community-wide effort to meet the needs of our food-insecure neighbors.  We are a grateful partner of the Second Harvest Food Bank.  Reach Out is located onsite at St. Catherine Catholic Church, in the building at the back of the property.  It is open Monday through Saturday from 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm. 

 

Donations are accepted at the Reach Out building (located behind the Church), Monday to Saturday from 12:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Non-perishable items and garden produce are welcome. And clean brown paper grocery bags, and 6 or 12 count egg cartons! Donations to support the Reach Out Food Pantry are welcome and allow us to purchase needed food items that are not in stock on our shelves.  You can drop off a check at Reach Out when we are open (1-2:30 p.m. Monday- Friday) or make a one-time or recurring donation on this parish website.  Click here to donate now.    

We staff Reach Out with five volunteers every afternoon to distribute groceries; you could work a once-a-month shift, or once-a-week shift, or just be available on our substitute list.  There are also a couple of times each week when we could use some help in the mornings, 9:30-10:30 (ish).  If you speak Spanish, and could just sit alongside our desk volunteer to help our guests complete intake information, we'd be grateful.  Currently looking for a weekly Wednesday bi-lingual volunteer for this position. Always could use an extra hand every Tuesday afternoon, 2:30-3:30 to help bring with our Second Harvest Food Bank truck delivery.  Feel free to stop by Reach Out anytime we are open to talking with our volunteers on-site and seeing the wonderful things that happen every day.  Contact Carol for more information: 408-857-4516.
